Randolph Childress is Wake Forest’s new director of player development, the university announced Wednesday.

Childress played for Wake Forest from 1990-95.

Childress’ 2,208 career points ranks second in Wake Forest history.

Tony Chennault is close to transferring to Villanova, according to sources close to the situation.

Chennault recently opted to leave Wake Forest to be closer to home because his mother has been experiencing health problems.

The 6-foot-2 guard will have two years of eligibility remaining.
